Protective linings work in a similar manner to protective coatings but are used in areas where the chemical or mechanical attack is more severe. Protective linings typically come in various chemical configurations such as epoxies, epoxy novolacs, hybrid polymers, polyesters, vinyl esters, and novolac vinyl esters. Protective linings can be installed by using spray equipment, roller and broadcast, or trowel.
