The Aslan 600 GFRP bars are available as round bars in the following diameter sizes: 16mm (5/8"), 19mm (3/4"), 25mm (1"), and 38mm (1-1/2"). An elliptical dowel bar is available in a diameter that would be equivalent to a 1.71" round rod. Many benefits in concrete joint performance are anticipated with greater bearing area under the dowel offered by the elliptical shape. Elliptical dowels are to be used with the wider plane in horizontal position. Typical lengths are 18", and the dowels can be supplied as loose dowels or mounted in basket assemblies.
