Aslan 400 CFRP Laminates

Aslan 400 Carbon Fibre Reinforced Laminates are used as externally bonded structural strengthening of concrete, masonry. The use of externally bonded CFRP laminates is derived from the practice of steel plate bonding. The lighter weight and greater tensile strength of the CFRP laminate greatly reduce the overall installation costs as compared to steel plate bonding techniques.

Aslan 400 is installed by using an appropriate epoxy adhesive that provides leveling and bond to the structural member. Aslan 400 is available in the following three standard widths:
- 1.4mm x 50mm (.055" x 2")
- 1.4mm x 75mm (.055" x 3")
- 1.4mm x 100mm (.055" x 4")

The 2" wide Aslan 400 is available in 250 ft. coils. The 3" and 4" wide Aslan 400 is available in 300 ft. coils. For further details please download the Aslan 400 product literature.

Intended Use:Externally Bonded Strengthening per ACI440.2R-02, to Increase Flexural or Shear strength of existing Concrete, Masonry or Wood members.
Benefits: Light weight

Guaranteed physical and mechanical properties based on the CFRP composite and not on the fiber properties alone

Cost-effective when compared with alternatives such as section enlargement or steel plate bonding

Strengthens the structure

Extends the service life of the structure

Installation of Aslan 400 does not significantly alter the appearance of the structural element
