Aslan 200 CFRP Bars

 Aslan 200 Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) allows designers to utilize the greater modulus and tensile strengths of carbon fiber in a non-metallic reinforcing bar. Aslan 200 can be used for both new construction and as a strengthening material for the novel new technique known as ³Near Surface Mount² or NSM strengthening.

The Aslan 200 CFRP bars are available only as straight lengths in the following diameter sizes: #2 (6mm), #3 (9mm), and #4 (12mm). Aslan 200 is available only as straight lengths. Inventory is maintained in 20 ft. stock lengths. For further details please download the Aslan 200 product literature.

Intended Use:- New Construction in Corrosive Environments

Near Surface Mount (NSM) strengthening of existing Concrete

Masonry or Wood members (Flexure & Shear)

Benefits: Impervious to chloride ion and chemical attack

Tensile strengths greater than steel

Modulus approaching that of steel and three times that of GFRP Rebar

Better utilization of fiber properties as dictated by ACI440.1R-01

1/5th the weight of steel reinforcing

Surface treated to enhance bond to Portland cement for new construction, and grout or structural epoxies when used for NSM strengthening
